details!

I am having a blast! I really enjoy my teachers and I have met a few girls who I have totally bonded with. In my neighborhood, there are two other girls Karen and Sara who live down the street from me. All our moms are sisters, so we’re all like cousins . The food is been fine. My family always asks me if I like what were gonna have. I told them I am not a big fan of fish and I don’t like fried stuff – and they were ok with that. I LOVE THE FRUIT HERE. Everything is super fresh and yummy. I have had watermelon and cantaloupe for breakfast every day. I have really enjoyed my sister Dani (she is almost 11). After my first night here, she wrote me a letter saying how much she liked me and was excited I was living with them. My mom is awesome, in the evenings we will spend time doing homework at the dinner table or taking in the living room while the TV is on of course. Her brother (my uncle I guess) lives in the house too. He is super nice but has tons of friends, and works and a girlfriend aka is never here. I feel at ease and can be myself here which is great. I have my own room and bathroom! I love it. But the showers are on the cold side so I have decided better to take them in the morning so I don’t go to bed cold and get sick. Classes start at 8:30am and I walk to school so I end up leaving here around 8am. We have Spanish first then a development class. At 1, we all go to the cafeteria or across the street to the mall for lunch. The cafĂ© sells typical food like chicken, rice and black beans. The mall has everything from typical food to Subway. There is also a market, like Vons or Ralphs but smaller and there I can buy bread, cheese and ham to make my own lunch if I want to. They also sell a lot of American things – everything from shampoo to syrup to nail polish.

PS- Out of the 20 people here, I’m prob in the top 5 students who know Spanish. There are three other students who know the grammar and stuff but there pronunciation is awful! Hahaha. Everyone loves the way I speak  Thanks Ecuador!!!

PPS- If spelling or pucuation is off, sorry. The keyboards here are all weird.
